Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

After The Storm h1658 Photography by Mark Myhaver
presents a view of the Catalina Mountains in winter after a couple of days of snowfall. This scene was presented to me as I was shooting primarily for black and white images of the clouds hovering low in the mountains. It was mostly a gray but still beautiful day with rain falling intermittently in the valley. I was keeping an eye behind me to the west as it was partially clearing and suspecting it might yield a pleasant sunset. All of a sudden the mountains in front of me were graced with an orange glow from the setting sun at my back. It was one of those fleeting moments as the glow was gone almost as quickly as it arrived. I hope you enjoy this vista as much as I did photographing it.
